Staying in a wine-dedicated suite in Dijon: what it actually looks like

Oenosuite wine suite in Dijon — exposed stone and Burgundy wine ambiance

What 'wine accommodation' means (and doesn't mean)

Let's be honest: in the tourism world, sticking the word 'wine' on an accommodation has become an easy marketing trick. A welcome bottle and a corkscrew on the bedside table don't make a wine accommodation. So what makes the difference?

At Oenosuite, we wanted to go beyond the décor. The idea was simple: create the place we wished we'd found as wine lovers on a weekend in Dijon. A place where wine isn't just a theme, but an integral part of the stay.

What you'll find in our suites

A connected wine cellar in the flat. Via Jalunia, you can buy wines from Armand Heitz (our partner winemaker in Chassagne-Montrachet) in bottles or tubes, 24/7. It's not a standard minibar — it's a real selection of Burgundy wines, with tasting notes and estate prices.

Activities that make sense. The wine escape game is a puzzle trail around Burgundy wine that lasts about 45 minutes. It's fun, educational, and works equally well for couples and friends. The blind tasting via Winer boxes is the kind of activity that creates genuine moments of sharing.

A setting that isn't 'themed' Disneyland-style. The exposed stone of the Charme & Vin Suite dates back to the 17th century — it's not there for decoration. The projector, premium bedding, Vinésime Chardonnay shower products: everything is chosen with care, not piled up to tick boxes.

What you WON'T find

We don't do breakfast (it's a fully self-contained flat, not a traditional B&B). We don't give guided tours ourselves — but we point you to Winalist for estate bookings. And we don't claim to replace a real day in the vineyards: our role is to be the ideal base camp for your explorations.

Who it's for (really)

Our typical guests: couples aged 28-55, often on a weekend, who love wine without being experts. Groups of friends looking for an original stay. Parents treating themselves to two nights without the kids. It's not for oenologists who want a live-in sommelier — it's for people who love the good life and want their accommodation to match the rest of their trip.

If that speaks to you, take a look at the suites on oenosuite.fr. And if you have questions, we always reply.
